"Those who are faithful only know the trivial side of love: It is the faithless who know love's tragedy."
The Picture of Dorian Grey - Oscar Wilde
I love this. I love Oscar Wilde. His words can be so powerful.
I find this quote so interesting because its very relevant to my life at the moment.
Dealing with this breakup, I find myself with few people to confide in. I could always talk to my parents but I dont really want to get into the details with them. I could talk to my bff James but he hasn’t had any girlfriend experience and can’t really offer any advice. He is a great listener but it wouldn’t be helpful.
This quote really reminds me of Nick. He has been dating Mary for 5 years and they have had their share or fights but as far as I know its been over petty jealousies or when they want to get married. They haven’t taken any cheating, breaks, falling out or serious trials. I consider this the trivial side of love.
The faithless though. man oh man. I am really thankful I am better friends with Martin now. He understands love’s tragedies, more than I do. Probably more than I ever will. He has great insight and wisdom sometimes, It really impresses me. When I talked to nick he can only sympathize but Martin, he gets it. So here is my thanks to Martin. I appreciate it, Cheers.
